    Would probs go for the new AMD cards instead. Even the 6800 XT is performing nearly on par with 3090. But the 6900 XT coming December 18th is just quite a bit better. But as said the 6800 XT is amazing for the cost of the GPU

    Only problem i have with amd gpu's is their drivers are not very good otherwise they would be a great choice.

    7nm > 14nm+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    also ryzen has better single core performance now than intel @JamesCharles

    cheapter and no need to change mobo every new gen

    Why you buying a 5950x and then buying 3200 RAM?

    4133 is what you should be getting

    4000 CL17 seems to be the new sweet spot

    Seems budget isnt an issue, get faster ram. Your choice of hardware makes me assume you know what you're doing?

    There's some ram kits from Xtreem and ballistic that OC well, though Ryzen is more fiddly when it comes to that kind of stuff

    I went with these instead

    I would agree that AMD are a solid choice nowadays as they've been catching up in the GPU market however they're still a few years behind on Nvidia and especially with DLSS 2.0 its insane how good their new cards are. If he has the money for a 3090 he should stick with Nvidia. Although I would say the 3090 is super overkill just for gaming its only 10-20% faster at more than double the price, a 3080 is more than enough. Its way cheaper and in 4-6 years when there's probably new emerging GPU technologies that eclipse the current cards, you can swap without having invested a huge amount of money into one GPU. My work is very heavy on hardware requirements however I still wouldn't touch the 3090 because its a bit of a money drain. That's just my opinion though. Build is very solid though, I would maybe consider getting faster ram also.

    Yeah I do think at one point if AMD manage to catch up it would be a really good card. But really depends on how they make the next cards

    Might change the ssd to the Samsung 980 pro instead but dont know how much of a diffrence it makes.

    Does this answer the question? A 250 gb version but should be around the same
