Hard drive died - opinions on a new 250-500GB SSD to buy?

So all my stuff is currently running on a Samsung ssd 840 pro series 256gb. Which originally was only intented for my OS and some other things.
But my 2TB drive died a few days ago, and currently i only have space form ARMA3 and one other game, and have for forcefully disable the "download" and delete the "workshop" folder in the steamapps folder, whenever i launch ARMA otherwise my disk gets full asap due to "reserved download files from workshop"  (even after ive told it to not update, the arma launcher does so anyway for some reason....).

It even started complaing about overheating so i had to build a cooling case for it (my puny ssd), then again it has been alive for years.

Any tech nerds outthere, that knows about SSD and performance for gaming/which once are prefered? I have no idea.

Send help please.

5/7 top potato score.
Its a small case compared to the motherboard (had to put in a new one after a powerstrike killed my whole setup) and other shit, ill have to get a new one when i get a new GPU (there isnt space for it).

While gaming you're not really going to ever utilise the maximum read/write speeds of most SSDs so it doesn't really matter what you get. Even the slowest SSDs will be noticeably fast, at least compared to a hard drive.

This is the SSD that I use for everything as I also currently don't have a HDD and it works fine. If you want something a little cheaper, this would work.
